Our School
Goals:
- To improve student learning opportunities and student learning outcomes in literacy, numeracy, digital, and critical thinking skills
- To support and develop programs and resources designed to maximize all students’ learning potential and meet the diverse needs of our student population
- To develop student attitudes and activities which enhance school safety, pride, spirit, appreciation for culture and diversity and personal and social responsibility
- To improve interactions communication and involvement of students, parents, staff and the community
- To develop programs and resources designed to maximize avenues of student learning, enhance student transition between high school and post secondary learning and provide a basis for post graduation success

Accomplishments and Initiatives:
- Grades 8 integrated studies program
- Many leadership opportunities including Student Council, Grad Council, Empowering Hornets, Anti-Oppressive Collective and QSA
- Multitude of clubs for all our learners
- Comprehensive academic programs in science, mathematics, English and social studies
- Extensive modern languages program including French, Spanish and Punjabi
- Extensive career preparation and district carpentry program
- Strong technology programs including an automotive program that builds and races their own cars
- Outstanding fine arts department including dance, band, media arts, and photography
- Opportunities in physical activity with our Physical Education department and Athletics program
- Extensive summer learning opportunities such as LEAD, Transitions, Sports Education
